Remembering my childhood friend, left to die in a pool of his own blood
Reason for murder unknown, no one ever arrested, no justice
I was going through my list of friends in Facebook — from all places. I saw the name of a childhood friend whom I knew since we were four (4). He was killed several years ago and no one has ever come to justice.
His wife never removed his friends or canceled the account. Maybe they don’t have access to his account or left the account open for everyone who loved him to think of him. In any case, we can keep my friend in our hearts.
Liberals have a huge agenda against guns, but fail to see that criminals don’t need guns to kill. Even with a newspaper would suffice (no instructions to be provided). In any case, my friend was stabbed and left to die on the ground outside his job at a mine — so much for learning engineering and doing everything humanly possible to put food on his family’s table just to die in an ambush.
As much as I understand, my friend left his job at night. He was ambushed and stabbed — no idea what the motive was. His parents had to drive about two (2) hours to pick up the corpse hours after he was found (late that night or early the following morning). Meanwhile his wife and his children (toddlers, at the time) were left at home waiting for the body. No one has ever been arrested and no one seems to be interested to bring anyone to justice after more than a decade. Unfortunately, something tells me that the police simply turned a blind eye and no one will ever be arrested or prosecuted.
What bothers me the most is that my friend was the nicest of all my childhood friends. I don’t think he ever made enemies when we were young. He was everyone’s favorite in one way or another — the most likable. It’s not like he was like some of my other childhood so-called friends who perhaps could easily deserve such demise — always, at least, some rotten apple that could spoil the whole bunch.
Patricio, ni kore sopiras vin kaj deziras, ke via murdinto estu farita al justeco. Dio vin tenu en Sia eterna Graco.
